Please be advised: Effective November 1, 2010 the hall will no longer be sending out suspension letters.  All members are urged to phone the hall in regards to their dues standing.

As well the hall will be enforcing that all members need to be in good standing before being dispatched.

If any Local 728 member is interested in taking any of these courses please call 783-7853, allow 1 hour for each course.  Courses are offered on a scheduled basis only from Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm.

Older News
2010's Outstanding Apprentice Competition was held on July 10.  Local 728 was represented by Russel Deblois, Ryan Luchik, and Paul Gillis.  Unfortunately our men did not place, but they did an awesome job representing our hall.  We look forward to the next competition in Moose Jaw in 2012.

The most out standing Apprentice Competition was held on June 21, 2008 at 7110 Gateway Boulevard, in Edmonton, Alberta.  Brian Cwiak and Sean Barrie did an awesome job representing Local 728.  Unfortunately neither has made it to the national competition.  Follow the link to see our guys at the competition.

Two of our Local 728 members, Randy Harder and Fred Swift were featured in a piece aired on CTV Winnipeg news on October 23, 2008, due to the current economic boom in Thompson, Manitoba.  Check out the link to see the challenges some of our workers are facing in this booming town that has been referred to as the new Fort McMurray.
