MEMBER COMPANIES The Ironworkers Union, Local 728, received its charter on August 22, 1950. Since that time members of this Local Union have proudly performed work on many different projects in the Province of Manitoba. The work done by our members includes Rigging, Welding, Machinery Moving, Structural Steel Erection, Rebar Placing, Etc. As a signatory contractor with Local 728, you will have access to 358 active members including Journeyman Ironworkers, Welders, Rodmen, and Apprentices. Being that we are an International Union we also have access to members across Canada if needed. By becoming signatory with this Local Union and employing our members we believe your company would benefit and grow from our years of experience. The Benefits of becoming a signatory Member Company with the Ironworker's Union include: - Trained Workforce (Union members are on the Apprentice program or Journeymen) - Additional workers on-demand - Short-term workers available as needed, no need to hire permanent employees - Safety-oriented, certified workers - Predictable Labour costs Becoming a Member Company is very simple.
